Creating the logo and brand guidelines for my personal design business started with typical pen & paper sketching. Sometimes I use pencil, but I find that pen forces my creative process to be quick and more uninhibited. As the process moves along, I experiment with digitizing some of the designs to see what works best.

After sketching, I finalize the logo and several versions of logo lockup. Next, the primary & secondary brand color palette are established and basic business cards and stationery are drafted.
